“The Untamed” Effect

It was Aug 25, 2019. A friend on twitter spammed her feed with Xiao Zhan and Wang Yibo and I got really curious on who they are and asked about them and if there’s anything that she can recommend for me to watch. She recommended The Untamed which just finished airing then. We both love Japanese bands and the last time she was here in Manila was when we watched Spyair in a Comic Con event.  So, I thought that I might like what she likes and lo and behold!  I was sucked into the fandom. he he 😀 The Untamed is amazing!

The Untamed

I’m not used to watching more than 15-16 episodes so it’s really a big task for me to watch all 50 episodes of The Untamed then. I was busy with work so I just started with the behind the scenes (BTS) videos in WeTv and really got hooked. Xiao Zhan and Wang Yibo are so adorable! Anyway, started reading the novel after which is faster as compared to watching the 50 episode drama, then the Manhua, then watched the Donghua and eventually started with the series at the time when it was already in Netflix. Took me a bit of a time to finish though but once done, I started slowly watching again in WeTv but got to finish the special edition much faster. he he 😀 love the additional WangXian scenes. Thanks WeTv! and now, started slowly watching the series again in WeTv.

So happy to be a fan of Xiao Zhan and Wang Yibo. The first time I attended a fan event was a viewing for The Untamed Nanjing Farewell Event last Nov and then succeeding Cup Sleeve events after that. So fun to meet old and new fans and get to widen the network on anything and everything about The Untamed, Xiao Zhan and Wang Yibo. And now, I’m still hooked. Haven’t watched any other series, except for the latest Haikyuu season and some other drama or shows of Wang Yibo and Xiao Zhan, and I just might continue watching The Untamed again while waiting for the new dramas of Yibo-didi and Zhan-ge.
